Adelaide-Grand Prix of Australia. The second GPWS season starts with an almost literal bang at the Adelaide street circuit. The 1st race sees many new teams, which results in a revised points system of points from 1st t 12th, many more rule changes are expected during the season. Reigning Champion Fisichella gets pole.--- Graham Rahal wins an explosive first race of the season in Australia. There was a massive first corner crash that resulted in the retirement of 5 cars, including title favourites Fisichella and Wood. This led to Juan Villa leading most of the race, before being passed by Rahal on the 57th lap, their fight continued for some laps before Villa finally conceded the win to Rahal, the unexpectant winner. Bourdais continued his good form from last year to take 3rd, with Bondovic taking 4th and series returnee Bruno Senna gaining 5th for ORT. Anthony Davidson had a mesmerising race, going from last to 6th, his Honda team mate Sato fared worse and retired on the 1st lap. Rookie Hulkenburg got 7th, with Ferrari's Bianchi in 8th ahead of Justin Wilson(racing his old AMR car to 9th). Hywel Lloyd got 10th ahead of Audi duo Bamber and Rockenfeller, who rounded out the main points paying positions.
