Abu Dhabi-Grand Prix of Abu Dhabi. GPworld series arrives in the UAE for the first of 2 races in the country. Driver Changes: Jens Kohl returns for Newportman, Sergio Perez returns to Aston Martin as part of there driver rotation, Nicolas Prost replaces Molina at PTC, Tracy retains his seat, Neel Jani replaces Flier at Lotus, ORT owner Tiago Monteiro replaces Senna permanently. Parente takes pole-----Matthew Wood wins the GP of Abu Dhabi, after his team mate Jens Kohl let him through on the last lap. Up to that point, Kohl had pulled of a great strategy to jump the leading Bondovic machines of Fisichella and Bondovic. Fisichella retired after his Aston Martin engine exploded, giving him a lot to do in the remaining races. Wood was on a similar strategy to Kohl and jumped the cars ahead of him (Parente & Bondovic) to get 2nd before his team mate let him through to further increase his lead in the standings. 3rd went to Parente, who was slow compared to Saturday. Bondovic was unable to find a way past him and took 4th ahead of the quick Hywel Lloyd. Sato got 6th for Honda in a good race that saw him rise through the field. Rockenfeller salvaged 7th after a poor race for Audi, Sinate being disqualified for ignoring flags. Rahal took 8th, ahead of Carroll and Neel Jani, who took points on his début in the series. Rossi took fastest lap. Matthew Wood considerably increases his championship lead.
