This case is a remix of my previous model (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3118551), adapted to be printed in flexible material.
I have designed this case for FPV drone racing, but can be used for any other purpose that requires impact protection.
This is a full case (all corners and edges protected) for a modern Gopro Hero model.
It has been designed on a Gopro Hero 5, but should be OK on a model 6 or 7 if I'm not wrong.
Unlike my previous design, that was design for hard plastics, and to be held in place by a drone battery strap or similar, this one is design as a single piece.
The opening in the back is big enough to squeeze the camera thru and fit snugly.
If the flexible material or printing configuration make the insertion difficult, two precise cuts on the bottom left and right edges of the back are enough to solve the problem.
With this case, you can access both the on/off and the record button, both front and back screens, and, of course the lens. Both microphones are also not covered for better sound recording. The bottom plate is also slotted, to reduce the weight of the case.
The "flaps" that protrude from the lens opening to protect it from impacts do not interfere with the recording, even when using superview mode.
THe model is designed to print in 3 pieces, and then be glued together. I hace used CA glue with an accelerator such as this one: https://tinyurl.com/ycndsca9
The case that you can see on the pictures has been printed in black Sainsmart TPU..
