I love making stuff that lights up! This is a work in progress and may not be finished for a little while, but I wanted to post this part because at least one flower is done. You can light these any way you want, or not at all. The stems are hollow so it's fairly easy to run some wire up. They are currently slightly too small to pass a large LED up, though, so you have to make sure the LED is inside before gluing together. This is good, because it stops the LED from falling back down. (although if your LED moves a lot, you can fix it in place with glue or tape)
.
This is an adventure in Blender so I didn't make any fancy way to snap it together as I'm still learning Blender (and that learning curve is mighty long). If you print in PLA, super glue will work. If you print in ABS, you can maybe try the various ABS gluing tricks (and super glue will probably also work but I haven't tried it).
.
The "vase" they are sitting in is from my voronoi bottle holder project, which is also on thingiverse. Future work will include a better vase that has room in the bottom to hide the board and batteries, and I'll probably stick with the voronoi technique because it's awesome.
.
I am probably going to start selling these as kits for those who lack 3D printers or as finished things for those who lack electronics skills, but I am still providing the meshes here.
