Another GI Joe model for my game, drawn using my old toy and calipers. Although the file is presented full scale, I modeled it so that it was optimized when printed at 25%. Unless you stay in that range it may have too much or too little detail.
The bridge layer tank. A fun toy, essential equipment when my vehicles needed to get from the couch to the coffee table!
The bridge doesn't unfold like the toy did, sorry. My original (articulating) test pieces kept breaking so I went with a manual "lay out the bridge yourself" process instead. I printed the bridge piece out twice, glued them together in the folded position. Then I made another pair of bridge pieces and glued them together in the unfolded position. When the folded bridge is set on top of the tank it holds in place and won't fall off when you are pushing it around the table.
Everything can be printed without supports. The chassis is printed treads down, as it would sit in real life. The bridge piece is also printed right side up, you need two. Finally, the guns (you need two of them also) are printed with the barrel horizontal. The guns should be glued to the chassis - there's a raised pad for each to sit on.
Update 3/5/16 Added a second version of the bridge section [Called 'bridge filled in']. This one doesn't have the thin center portion as seen on the toy,due to some users having trouble with thin features. You do not need this file unless you have trouble with the original.
Much respect and gratitude to the men and women of our Armed Forces (past and present). Your sacrifice allows people like me to live in peace and freedom. /You/ are the real American heroes.
