This is a compact cooling shroud built for the GEEETech MK8 Extruder/Printhead - for me it's on an Acrylic Prusa i3b. The shroud wraps around the aluminum cooling heatsink which on my printer has the cooling fins in a vertical orientation. I used SketchUp to design the simple surround and ducting to direct air out of the bottom of the fan/heatsink and down to the front and back of the printhead for cooling the print quite well. I added a thicker 20mm thick 40x40 fan for more airflow/pressure and sealed it using aluminum tape.
Result: airflow is actually surprisingly good and directed exactly on print extrusion area . . . and I don't need a "flying fan" attachment.
