This is based on an idea I had where the five main connecting points should be connected together like an organic almost grown structure, through an intertwining interconnecting series of sinewy strands of material, almost like a bone structure or a space-frame. I then filleted around any overlapping strands to help the stress flow through the network of the material in order to help it to dissipate the loads in use. This was purely an intuitive design, no topology refinement software or simulation was used, just good old common sense.
Mass/Volume is 29% of the original, giving a reduction of 71% compared to the original part.
