My outside faucet is too close to the ground to allow enough clearance to attach a splitter and then also attach additional hoses. The casting does not have any provision for surface mounting. It expects to be supported by the threaded attachment to the faucet itself.
I used Fusion 360 to model the brass valve body with the "pipe" tool, then the Boolean "Combine" to cut that shape from a block that could be printed to square up and mount the splitter body higher up on my siding; attaching the splitter to the faucet with a garden lead-in hose.
I used a collar to grip around the neck of the brass splitter and hold it to the printed block. The holes were sized to allow passage of #8 or #9 wood screws. I laid in a couple dabs of RTV between the block and siding and under the valve body before mounting the block.
I found the little valve actuators a bit difficult to turn so I made and included a little lever that I am sure I will loose. The F3D project is included.
I printed in PETG expecting a bit longer survival outdoors. ABS might be better but I've only been able to have success printing ABS in the dry winter months.
