Description
Ceramic representation of Ganesha, a beloved Hindu deity who removes obstacles and brings good luck. Found in my office.
Process
Scanned the artifact using the Polycam app on an iPhone 13 Mini
Imported the scan into Blender
Used sculpting tools to fix flaws in the original scan’s geometry
Retopologized the mesh using the Quad Remesher add-on
UV unwrapped the retopologized mesh and packed the UV islands with the UVPackmaster2 add-on
Created a cage and baked the texture from the sculpted mesh to the retopologized mesh using the SimpleBake add-on
Exported as OBJ for upload to Sketchfab
