Gaming Table with TV spot

The Gaming Group purchased a 46 inch TV for this project so I just made some changes to the design. It’s good to be an old Gamer with disposable income. I'm not sure if I will put hinges on the lift off covers or not... they may simply get frames to hold them in place. Future Steve gets to worry about that. A computer and surge protector will live in the cabinet base. If we choose to try and do a IR interactive desktop in the future we should easily be able to.. for now we will be doing the Wii whiteboard treatment with it. The choice of purchasing a larger 46 inch TV forced me to remove the center power outlets. However I will still be able to use the area for cable runs. This is a gaming table I will be building next spring. I found inspiration from an excellent table design I found online. I took his idea and took it down to my level of skill. The four corner end caps will be storage and the lighter color table top areas will lift off for more storage. The sides will fold down into workstation shelves and 6 of the shelves will have power outlets. A TV will be housed inside the table for digital mapping for RPGing. The current table i designed and we use has an acrylic cover over a hex map surface for quick map drawing with dry erase.. I also put power outlets into each leg so we could plug in laptops and such.
