This is the Andromedes Titan GN-133 Galaxy Gun, positioned in orbit around Jupiter as a part of the defense grid of the Sol System. The Earth Alliance has had many such space cannon installations positioned in the system, and in neighboring systems. This galaxy gun fires a dark matter/plasma projectile up to 800 Quadrillion light years away, each of which is capable of destroying a small planet, disrupting a star, or collapsing a super-massive black hole. It is 35.7 km long, carries a crew of 350, and can fire three shots within a 36 hour period, allowing the reactor to recharge between shots.
