Recently been playing a bit of euro truck sim, of course semis have a 12+ speed transmission, and use 2 sets of splitters, one for half gears and one for high and low range.
Easy enough fix, you can pick up a replacement knob wire it in in a afternoon and your done. Knobs are expensive and slow to ship though.
3d printing to the rescue! Sub 2 hour print, will get you not only a better shaped shift knob but also those precious splitters. This will utilize two small (19x12mm) typical rocker switches and mount to the g27 shiftier. You will have to wire them to the 4 lowest red buttons on the g27 (disassembly of shiftier is required) by simply using the ground pad and wiring to the line of 4 resistors that control those buttons - I recommend 2 and 4 or 1 and 3 if counting left to right, if you use 3 and 4 or 1 and 2 you trigger both buttons at the same time will activate the hardware override to change the degrees of motion so don't do that.
You may need to do some trimming to get the rockers to fit snugly but they shouldn't give you to much guff. You will also need to drill a hole in the surround under the shift boot to feed the new wires to the knob so they don't interfere with shifting. And you may need to bore out the boot collar so you can snake the wires through it. In the end you should have a factory looking shifter with a knob with two rockers! Because this shfit knob doesn't use the OEM set screw on the shifter I recommend wrapping 1 or 2 wraps of electrical tape around the shaft after the boot is in place and slide the shifter over that, it should fit nice and tight alternatively you can use glue if your confident you wont want to remove it.
In case you have any issues I've uploaded the source fusion 360 file.
