2019-06-26: Since there are people selling my design around the world for the AKK Diversity RX i must assume that is compatible. Hope the people find it useful for this module too.
Furious FPV True D V3.5 replacement cover for Fatshark Dominator HD
--- Please read carefully ---
This took 10 iterations just to achieve the right fit on my module and goggle. Since i haven´t any other module or goggles on hand you should be very careful testing this just because i don´t know how different could be different modules between themselves on different batches.
Having said that... the whole idea is to avoid that the module being part of the casing anymore and improve the ventilation as the module normally work a little warm.
For me is really difficult trying to see if the pins are being inserted in the right way in the goggles. (even being traslucent)
In order to avoid that in this version, you should place the module first (and then) the cover. The cover hold the module in place with a very slight pressure on the OLED board, and the cover itself is fixed with four tabs to the goggle, this tabs have almost the exact thickness to fit between the circuit boards and the goggle. (this gives a really good fixation to the goggle yet is still easy to detach the cover pressing the four tabs or using the fingernails on the sides)
In order to avoid damaging the OLED, the three versions of the cover have a lot of holes in the front and were printed in PETg. Both thing helps to avoid doing excessive pressure on the screen. (But of course, you should use your own criteria when testing) Also the front panel only have 0.9mm in thickness.
As i said, this was printed with PETg, i tested both 0.10 and 0.15 mm layer height and there was not appreciable difference on the fit. Probably slightly better on 0.10mm. The rest of the parameters will depend on the filament and printer used.
My googles are HD v1, but as far as i know HD1, HD2 and HD3 have the same bay for the module. I´m not sure, but i´m pretty confident that the HD0 will work too.
