This model is designed for FRC (First Robotics Competition) and is designed for the 9 spoke Windows Motor. This part will attach to the Belt Driven pulley used in the 2013 KoP Chassis or any AndyMark supplied hub. Uses the same bolt pattern as the aluminum and plastic hubs.
It has been redesigned based on previous design testing. More durable design than original. Holes are 0.26" for nut & bolt fastening. Hub has an exact fit to window motor gear. Printed in PLA. This can also be done in ABS.
UPDATE: 4/5/2016
Designed for FRC Team 3147
Hub was abuse tested at 10% infill. Did not break or warp under full rotational load from window motor. This was done by fastening a metal bar to the hub and locking both ends down before applying power to the motor.
UDDATE: 4/11/2016
IT BROKE! Hub was printed at 65% infill. Finally broke due to heavy rotational mass (as shown in recent posted photo).
I suggest printig solid infill. Yes this will use a lot of filament, but it is guaranteed to be more durable. This design can also be used as an evacuation casting for aluminum or steel.
