simple 3.5" one eye box google design.
similar to my "Gteng monocle" design(http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2108436), this allows the fpv pilot the ability to easily retain his/her LOS ability while with a simple closing of one eye return to full FPV vision.
this simple fact may very well become quiet important in the present and near future as further regulations are imposed on fpv users that require a constant LOS observer with a additional buddy box if the pilot wishes to fly FPV, this is due to the fact that when using current fpv goggles your eyesight is completely obscured making LOS impossible.
I designed this as a work around the regulation, the regs though restrictive are still very vague in the whole LOS position meaning that aslong as you can retain LOS with even just one eye you are still flying legally in terms of the regs (least till some busybody no knowledge beaurocrat gets picky) even without a additional observer present with a buddybox setup.
this makes the impracticality of dragging along a spouse/random friend/some other poor sod to stand about holding a buddybox transmitter while looking bored unnecessary and we fpv'ers can get back to what we do best, flying our frames safely not bothering anyone.
the design uses this dashboard monitor stripped from its casing:-https://www.banggood.com/TFT-LCD-Screen-Monitor-for-Car-Rear-Rearview-Backup-Camera-p-908698.html?rmmds=myorder
and then slotted into the housing with the control buttons on the housings side, simple right?, then the only additional items needed are a 3x magnification Fresnel lens or two if wear glasses and need to adjust the focal range more precisely (credit card sized....found all over ebay) and a elasticated headstrap (you can buy spare box goggle head straps from ebay too).
then just add a bit of foam tape round the face contact points and presto you have a one eyed box goggle setup which allows you to retain LOS still.
just add your prefered Vrx and battery (it'll run of 2s and 3s) and even a Eachine Dvr like I have and you good to go for hours.
