Formula Junior

This is the car for the Formula Junior series. For 2010, the GPWS governing body, the GPIA decide to revive Formula Junior, left to Historic racing for over 40 years. The revived series acts as a main feeder to GP2000, but can also be used a a feeder for GPworld series. It is on the same level as F3, F2 or GP3. The car is powered by Mercedes engines, and designed by Newportman Engineering. There is an aim though, that after 3 years the series could become an open chassis formula, similar to Formula 3 or the old Formula Junior. The series appears at most European GPWS events, with 2 races each weekend, Race 1 would be the qualification race, with points awarded for top 6. Race 2 would be the Junior Grand Prix, with points awarded like the main GPWS event. The naming of the event would follow something like 'Junior Grand Prix of Wales' or 'Italian Junior Grand Prix'.
