A folding mount for an iPhone 7/8 in a thin translucent skin / case. Uses a ball joint to screw into an Elise dash mount. It won't fit the bare iPhone as allowance is made for the thickness of the case and it may not fit your phone / case combination. If so, extend the clip arms a little.
To use, fold phone clip arms away from the ball joint, then fold locking spoars into place, engaging with matching keys. Squeeze the two spar joints so they close fully. Then attach to the Elise dash moun and clip your phone in.
You can open the mount out for stowage if you like, but as it's PLA the folding creases probably won't last long. In any case, for a car, you should print in something tougher like PETG or nylon.
Photos show the iPhone mount attached by the bvall joint to an Elise Dash mount.
Note: Marked as a WIP as I am currently out of filament so I cannot test the accuracy of the locking spars' positioning. If you are desperate, you can print it and cut the spars off if they don't fit.

Printing notes:
Slice with support as the screw collet for the ball joint and base are "print in place" and require support "Everywhere" (in Cura). Use as little support as possible - I used support pattern Grid at 10% with 50 degree overhang angle, and a 1 line support brim. Infil was Grid at 40% but you can probably reduce this.
