This is a 2D plan of one of Frank LLoyd Wright's preliminary designs for the Herman Mossberg house in South Bend, Indiana 1948. The final house was known for its spacious gabled living room with a great window at one end. You can see the window in this plan. Many elements of the final house are evident in this plan. The main difference between this plan and the final house is that zoning laws forced the addition of a second floor onto the design. A stairwell was placed when the laundry/utility room is in this design. Both designs make extensive use of brickwork. This design has brick entry steps, brick fireplace hearths, and brick rowlock courses on the terrace, Drawing in the brick lines turned many of these features dark, but you can see the red brick if you zoom in.
