This is an upgrade from the Raspberry Pi Zero Flux Capacitor. I needed a bit more processing power and wanted to fit some other bits into the case. (Fritzing and photo shows a Pi Zero, because the wiring is the same and I'm lazy)
I setup a Raspberry Pi3 as a music server. Here's a fun way to get it out of the way and add some fun nostalgia.
There's an opening on the bottom for the LAN and USB ports. I drilled out a spot on the top for two momentary push buttons and a power LED. I have the buttons mapped to a sleep/wake script and a script to toggle between the flux lights and some other patterns.
The lights are made from a sliced and diced neopixel string. To get four of them lined up I had to cut and rewire horizontally in the right pattern. - there's probably easier ways to do this but that's up to you.
This is a remix of the scale model flux capacitor and half of the HAL 9000 enclosure. Any parts that aren't here can just be scaled up from SconNL's Design by 250%.
