NEW VERSION HERE: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3677555
Wanted a simple, small, and durable printed version, most the deck boxes on Thingiverse are over-elaborate for my tastes. Only part needed that isn't printed is a single paper clip for the hinge. Files are uploaded in the orientation i printed them (only one with brim/support is the lid). Feel free to engrave designs onto the back or modify the case, for example see picture 2 witch has my logo. You can also leave suggestions in the comments for things like sideboard sections, or different sizes to make.
Assembly: Print each file (box, lid, latch, cover, and 2x spring) Place springs inside grooves on lid. Place latch between the springs. Place cover atop the springs, when satisfied you may glue this cover on the 3 raised portions for a more permanent fit. Place lid assembly on box. Straighten a single standard paperclip and thread it through the holes on the back of the box and lid. I usually leave the extra paper clip on the box, and just pinch the extra to the sides of the box.
Assembly (4/17/2018 v0.6 code-name beef box): Similar to original, print all files with beef in the filename, but this time print 2 latches and 2 sets of springs totaling in 4 springs; since the "beefier" construction uses 2 latch devices. This version has thicker walls and doesn't open when turned upside-down.
To do next: Versions for 2+ decks, modular compartments for dice/sideboards, sized for other card games?
Made with Sketchup, fits 60-70 single sleeved cards (tested with dragon shield and ultrapro brands)). "Commander" size fits cards.
Latch mechanism based off micro lock by caganseval.
