This is a top mount for the Ender 5 extruder or a PTFE tube guide/intake/coupler. It can be mounted anywhere along the Z axis extrusion, as it is 40mm wide. The mount is designed to let you rotate to any of eight positions and then lock in place with two M4 screws.
The Extruder Stand
I found I kept wanting to move the extruder as I fussed with the top-mounted spool holder. This can also be used with the stock spool holder.
The stand is tall enough for your extruder to have a 10mm heatsink attached.
You will need:
2x M4-8 machine screws and tee nuts (for mounting to the extrusion)
2x M4 screws 8-12mm long (metal extruder plate mount)
2x M4 screws 12-20mm long (for the base; this is longer because it's securing plastic on plastic)
The Short PTFE Guide
While working on the same spool holder, I got a Micro Swiss Direct Drive kit. Another user in a similar situation wanted to use the spool holder with their MS DD kit and keep the PTFE intake.
Stand Base.stl: You'll need this.
PTFE Passthru Short.stl: Use this if you aren't sure, are using the stock extruder, or have a drybox.
PTFE Passthru Tall.stl: See below for the tall version.
You will need:
2x PC4-M10 pneumatic tube connector for the filament intake.
2x M4-8 machine screws and tee nuts (for mounting to the extrusion)
2x M4 screws 12-20mm long (for the base; this is longer because it's securing plastic on plastic)
The Tall PTFE Guide (PTFE Passthrough Tall V2.stl)
This is the real deal for the top-mounted spool holder. Print with 2mm walls. I also printed with 1.6mm bottoms and 1.2mm tops so that the base prints completely solid.
You will need:
2x PC4-M10 pneumatic tube connector for the filament intake.
4x M4-8 machine screws and tee nuts (for mounting to the extrusion)
