These are adapters that can be printed to add extra functionality to the flexible jerrycan (jerrysack) which is part of the Core Relief item catalogue of the UNHCR. They were designed by the participants of the Core Relief (www.corerelief.org) workshop.
It contains
a cap adapter to attach a regular sized PET bottle cap
This adapter is useful to limit the flow of water and dispense it more easily. Some PET bottle caps, like those of sports drinks, even have a special dispenser that you can now also use on the jerrysack.
a water filter, adapted from the design of http://www.instructables.com/id/Open-Source-3D-Printed-Water-Filter/
This filter needs activated charcoal to work. See the instructable for extra information.
and an adapter for a breathing mask
This will not necessarily work for all breathing mask. Only the one we tried out. Because the jerrycan is flexible it can be used to push air into the mask.
These designs are not "finished" but are something that can be improved upon and be an inspiration for others that are attempting similar endeavors.
Depending on the types of emergency scenarios one is looking at, the 3d printer can be useful to get these specific tools on the field as quick as possible. Or if for example, clean water is high in demand, the water filters could be mass produced as a cheaper alternative or extra solution to supplying bottled water.
