I decided to do this write-up, since i have seen a lot of people asking what connectors are for certain electronics on the FFC and FFCP. I am in the process of converting my printers wiring from the cheap china to a good quality silicone wire. I have read too many printers that have caught fire due to wires breaking and causing high resistance connecions, or flat out shorting out. Here is the list of 100% verified connectors. I ordered them and have them in hand and have tested each one!
5x Stepper Motor PHR-6 6 POSITION PH SERIES 2MM SPACING DIGIKEY # 455-1162-ND
20x Crimp Connectors for above housing 22AWG - 24AWG DIGIKEY # WM2510CT-ND
5x Stepper Motor to MighjtyBoard (KIT) 4P KK-156 Series DIGIKEY # WMLX-203
1x Heated Build Plate POWER Housing 2 pin DIGIKEY # 1744036-2-SI-ND
2x Heated Build Plate Crimps for above housings 18AWG-22AWG DIGIKEY # 1123721 -2
1x Heated build plate sensor are XH 4p 2.5mm DIGIKEY # 455-02267-ND
4x Crimp/Contacts for above XH Connectors 22AWG - 28AWG DIGIKEY #455-1135-2-ND
3x Fan Connectors at Extruder carriage XH 2.5mm 2 pin plug DIGIKEY # 455-2266-ND
6x Crimp/Contacts XH 455-1135-2-ND
3x Fan Socket (coming from MightyBoard XH 2.5mm 2 pin socket DIGIKEY # 455-2247-ND
7x Limit Switches and HBP Sensor to MB (These have latch) 4 P DIGIKEY # WM2902-ND
28x Crimps for above connector housings 24AWG - 28AWG DIGIKEY # 455-2148-1-ND
Heated Bed / Thermocouples / Extruder Heaters / Fans
ALL are 2 pin DIGIKEY # ED2779-ND You can get in BLACK or GREEN
If you use or replace their 2 pin green / black connectors you will need
7x Green 2 pin connectors like above
3x Black 2 pin connectors like above.
OR
The single 4 pin connectors are DIGIKEY# ED2781-ND
You would need
2x 1 for each extruder/fan pair maintaining the correct polarity and allowing for D/C
1x for thermocouple pair also allowing D/C but maintaining polarity.
Then you would only need 4x 2 pin like the original ones.
I suggest changing the green/black connectors, as they are very loose tolerances. I bought a good quality name brand from my local electronics shop and they are TIGHT.
This is why you see so many pictures of burned connectors on the FFCP main boards. Loose connections = high resistance connections resulting in fire or burned connectors!
it would work as a 350W. I dont trust china's quality control.
If I have missed something or have any questions please contact me. Hope this helps someone else out there.
