A flapping wing mechanism is a type of mechanical system that imitates the motion of bird or insect wings in order to generate lift and propulsion. The mechanism typically consists of one or more wings that are mounted on a frame or support structure, along with a motor or other power source that drives the flapping motion.

In our case, we are using an outboard wing hinge mechanism. It is a type of mechanical system used in aircraft design to allow the wings to fold or pivot at the outermost portion of the wing, typically near the wingtips. This mechanism is often used in aircraft with folding wings, such as carrier-based fighter jets, where the ability to fold the wings is necessary to save space on the deck of an aircraft carrier.
