The flag of Morocco is a red flag with a green pentagram in the center. The pentagram indicates wisdom, peace, health and life. Green is the color of Islam, the official religion of the country. The five points of the star indicate the five 'Pillars' of Islam, the red color represents 'the blood' of the rebels who fought for the independence of the country. Initially and until 1915, the flag was decorated with a six-branched star also called the Seal of Solomon. The five-branched star was imposed by Marshal Hubert Lyautey, the then governor-general of the Protectorate. This pentagram replaced the Seal of Solomon with a royal decree in 1915. #flag #Morocco #Africa
