The French flag (in French drapeau français or drapeau tricolore, 'tricolor flag') is composed of three vertical bands of equal size and starting from the auction the colors are: blue, white and red. National emblem of the Fifth Republic, the flag was born, under the French Revolution, from the union of the colors of the city of Paris (blue and red) and the color of the Bourbon house (white); in the years to come, with the definitive fall of the monarchical system in France, the white color was attributed to Saint Joan of Arc. The blue was also contained in medieval and early modern times within the royal coat of arms. Today the flag is displayed on all public buildings. #flag #France
