Flag of Europe

The flag of Europe depicts twelve five-pointed golden stars arranged in a circle on a blue field; the stars are oriented with an upward tip. Although the flag is commonly associated with the European Union, it was initially adopted by the Council of Europe and is meant to represent the whole geographical Europe and not a particular organization such as the European Union itself or the Council of Europe. The European flag is rectangular in shape and proportions 3 by 2, with the length one and a half times the height. At the center of the blue banner there are twelve 5-pointed gold stars placed in a circular position, each with the tip facing upwards and positioned like the twelve numbers of a 12-hour clock face. #flag #Europe
