When you have a hammer, all of your problems look like nails. When your problem is a nail, you're kind of screwed if you don't have a hammer.
Unless you have five cents and a 3D printer! This simple model lets you quickly print a five-cent "hammer" that is small enough to fit in your pocket. Pause the printer to insert your coins when appropriate. The demo models are for holding five US pennies; if you want to use some other kind of currency, then make your own cheap hammer by clicking the "Open in Customizer" button.
WARNING #1: When you add the coins, make absolutely sure that the top coin does not extend above the current printed material; if your printer catches on the coin then either your model or your printer could be damaged.
WARNING #2: Although this "hammer" is safer than using a drinking glass, you could actually hurt your fingers if they slipped off the tool and onto the nail you are driving into the wall. Please use caution and always use a Real Hammer if you have serious work to do.
CHALLENGE: Anyone want to make a remix of this that has a handle (but is still Customizable)?
This is my entry for Week 2 of the atartanian vs. mathgrrl design battle! atartanian's Week 2 offering is an absolutely incredible Customizable Diorama. So maybe people can use my cheap-ass hammer to hang up one of atartanian's beautiful dioramas... :)
