This is a project to custom make the fish tank cover with LED light.
The project is in progress and it will be posting here until finish. If you are interested on it, please follow and give me comments. Thank you.
My fish tank is small and I want to cover the top and provide a shaded LED light.
The following materials will be required:
3d printed frame (Black PLA)
Single side (3mm thk.)Aluminum-plastic board and aluminum angle/rail
Stainless steel hinge
LED panel (5V)
USB power supply
Feb 2020 (Stage 1- Front Panel - 450 mm x 100 mm approx. )
Two identical round corner posts and a bottom bar were printed out. Due to the size of 3d printer, the frame was printed out by parts and then jointed together with adhesive. And then the Al-plastic boards were cut to size by ruler and cutter. Finally, boards/angles/rails were glued together.
March 2020 (Stage 2- Two Side Panels)
Two right angle corner posts (RHS and LHS) were designed and printed out. They are strengthen with the fillet and not panel at back. It is because water pump and filter will be hanged at the back of fish tank.
