This feeder is designed to be inserted in a 56mm hole made in the top table of the Lack 3D printer enclosure project.
It has been printed and works perfectly.
It is necessary to glue both parts, either together or to the table, else they will snap off due to filament tension. To remove them, simply turn them and they will separate.
Its goal is to allow some freedom of movement for the filament when the printing head is in a parking position at the max z height, while allowing the filament to come through the center of the top of the enclosure.
A silicon seal can be made between the bottom part and the table to leave the enclosure airtight. The lip should allow for this. Hence only the top part will need to be replaced in case of a change to a 1,75mm version.
It is designed for 3mm filament. I will upload a 1,75mm version if this design works as expected.
Further versions could be parametric to allow for different hole sizes.
Printed with 2 shells, 0,2mm layers, 3 solid layers. PLA or ABS should do fine (holes are slightly bigger to allow for ABS retraction, but still need a bit of resizing with a 3mm bit for the filament hole).
Change notes:
-v0.5 : test printed
-v0.2: dimensional changes after first test print
-v0.1: initial release and test print
