I loved the original design idea and after looking at a bunch of slightly different designs and remixes I've had to mix and match some parts and modify them all just a little to work for my application.
I liked the idea of a thicker centre pipe, so being in Australia picked up a 32mm PVC pressure pipe from Bunnings which has an much larger outer diameter.

The issue then is that the outer diameter is more like 42.3mm. I modified this design to fit the larger pipe: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1665713/files
Centre Pipe Support:
Bring one long piece of pipe I thought I might need some central support so took this design and edited out the divider bit on the top cup and adjusted it to accept the larger pipe diameter.https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1799292
Filament Passages:
Lastly, the filament passages. Love the idea however after printing one out I realised I don't have a 16mm (5/8th) drill bit to make those holes. I've either got 25mm spade bits (which aren't ideal on plastic) or up to 10mm (3/8th). In Australia, most home drills only accept up to 10mm bits and drill bit sets only come with up a range of 0.5mm to 10mm with anything larger usually being a separate purchase and probably not common in most houses... Long story short, I edited the passage piece to trim the cylinder down to ~9.8mm while keeping all the other dimensions the same. This should allow me to use my 10mm bits install them easily.
The original filament passage is designed to simply pass the filament through, but I found this was causing drag. I've included V2 of this design when I widened the centre out to 4.1mm to support a short piece of Capricorn Bowden tube being inserted. This appears to have solved the drag issue.
Spool Dividers:
I found that each spool would rub against the next one enough to cause it to turn and unwind/loosen. To solve this issue I created some slim divider pieces. I opted for a two part design for these so I could remove them easily if ever needed without having to unscrew anything. The little pointy bits on top were supposed to be wider, I also think this design could be further simplified to reduce the amount of filament being used. Watch this space for a revised design.
