This is a joint I made for use in making 3d-printed action figures and models. Originally I made a different joint, that was much larger than the this one, but I wanted to make smaller figures so I ended up experimenting with the tolerences that my printrbot play can work with, and was about to make a smaller joint in a size I am happy with. So, I will be using these to make modular action figure parts instead of my previous Modular Action Figure Joint. The hinge portion of the joint in Test_Joint_V3 is held together using any 1.75mm plastic filament, in my case I use PLA and occasionally ABS. The parts Test_Joint_V3.1 are printed in a flexible material so that the pegs on Test_Joint_V3 can be pressed into the smaller hole. The length of the joint should allow for the larger bit of the peg to clear the smaller diameter hole and rest on the should between the larger hole and the smaller one. I sometimes sand the larger bit of the peg to give it a taper or point so it can more easily pressed through the hole.
