The local hospital asked for face shields new or used. I have some extra shield replacements so I made this face shield for them. Uses a standard face shield replacement OR will hold a vinyl DIY face shield. This is needs two 1/4 X 1 1/4 inch flat top (for countersink) bolts (the ones pictured are too long) and a lock washer and washer will allow for tightness. The shield is hinged so you can lift it up and so you can use a large respirator if needed. The shield is held in place with key hole twist plugs, insert and twist. This can be assembled to fit comfortably (some cushion strap or cloth tape on the front is a good idea) and does not need the user to tie the face shield on as it will be used for hours. Very light weight.
Added a back section option (back elastic file) that holds a rubber band for some more adjustment. (see picture) also adding foam strips to the front section improves the comfort.
