This is a bunch of parts you print and assemble to make a scale tail gear assembly that retracts. I used a piece of carbon fiber arrow shaft for the wheel stalk. Other metal bits will also have to be made but it is fairly minimal.
I drew these parts from plans by Chad Veich, that are based on the design by Earl Aune. The PDF from Chad is included in the download to aid in your assembly. All this work is used and published by permission.
A single servo is used for the retraction and is very scale. Pull-pull wires are used for the steering of the wheel.
I would also suggest using carbon tow reinforcement as pictured above. While the convenience of printing these parts is great, they are not as strong as the G10 originally specified by Chad Veich.
