Name: Basin Sagebrush LowPoly Scientific: Artemisia tridentata This Variation: 1 of 4. This is a Low Poly model. A High Poly version is also available. Notes: A coarse, many-branched, pale-grey shrub with yellow flowers and silvery-grey foliage. Basin Sagebrush (sometimes called Big Sagebrush) is long-lived once it makes it past the seedling stage, and can reach ages of over 100 years. This species has a strong pungent fragrance due to the presence of camphor, terpenoids and other volatile oils. It is an evergreen shrub, keeping some of its leaves year-round, although it loses some of them in the late summer when it dries. This plant grows in arid and semi-arid conditions throughout a range of cold desert, steppe, and mountain habitats. It is not considered a true desert plant, but rather a resident of the steppe. It is native to the Intermountain West of North America. It is the dominant plant across large portions of the Great Basin, covering some 11 states. EVERYPlant has a mission ... which is to model every plant species in the world (plus some extinct, fantasy and sci-fi variations as well)!
