The Estadio de la vida is a new stadium for Real Betis, with a total capacity of 51,458. The upper (23,136) and lower (25,272) tiers have regular seating, and there are 112 wheelchair spaces at the back of the lower tier with helpers seating behind. The upper tier is contoured to leave open space in the corners of the ground, and the roof is slightly canted inwards; this means that light and air can easily reach the pitch. The middle tier has just VIP boxes on 3 sides (106 boxes with 14-16 seats outside) but on one side there are business seats with larger boxes behind. In total, there are 2722 seats on the middle tier. Above the upper tier in 2 of the corners there are 90 meter squared video screens and the floodlights hang under the roof- which is supported by steel columns and supports. The facade is bright and colourful giving the stadium a clear identity. The upper tier is accessed by stairs from ground level and the main concourse for spectators in the upper tier is below the level they enter the stand, for fan comfort and to save space. The lower tier is accessed from the concourse at the back of it which is barely above ground level; most of the lower tier is below ground level. Staircases and Lifts take spectators to the middle tier and VIP facilities, and down to the press and players facilities which are underground. In the lower tier there is a total of 216 press seats.
