This is my attempt at a fan duct for the NF-BMG-Wind direct geared extruder. Uses a 5015 radial fan and mounts directly to the x-carriage plate of a Creality Ender-3 (and I believe other Creality printers such as the CR-10, Ender-5, etc.).
AliExpress link for the extruder in the Mellow store:https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4000983379658.html
Assumptions:
-extruder is mounted directly to the Creality x-carriage using the 2 pre-drilled mounting holes (present on the bmg-wind, but not on the older "aero" version).
-using a V6 heat block oriented such that the longer side is parallel to the x-axis.
Extra Hardware:
1 or 2x M3x8mm screw (mounting bracket to-> x-carriage)
1x M3x10mm screw + nut (mounting bracket -> duct)
1x M3x20mm screw +nut (mounting bracket -> fan)
BLTouch Hardware: (optional)
2x M2x8mm screw (bltouch mount -> bmg-wind extruder) - countersunk ideally, but pan-head or socket will work as well)
2x M3x8mm screw + nut (bltouch mount -> bltouch)
BLTouch mount offsets:
Marlin offsets for (x,y) should be:
NOZZLE_TO_PROBE_OFFSET { 6, -29, 0 }
Printing tips:
Will print without supports, but note that the bottom of the duct is oriented at a 4 degree angle to the bed and may be in that orientation when importing to your slicer, so be sure to select the bottom face in whatever slicing software you're using and lay it flat to the bed.
