This print is my best attempt at the easiest possible quad frame to print and assemble with viable durability and weight for beginner to intermediate racing. Carbon racing frames can cost about $100 for a good one, so I hope that by potentially printing this frame for about 2 dollars of plastic that might help people enter the quad racing sport at a lower barrier of entry (cost-wise).
The design features a central battery bay, placing the heaviest component of the quad in between all the motors for a solid centre of gravity negating sloppy handling which can occur due to a pendulum effect caused by having the battery above or bellow the frame.
The battery is also very well crash protected in this configuration, minimising risk of fires.
The design features pitched motors and also stepped back motors which should result in less turbulent air being fed into the rear motors which then should result in more consistent thrust and steadier control.
I really enjoyed flying my print of this frame before it broke, and I hope it's helpful to someone out there, God bless.
