I am a mechanical design engineer at PT. Asake Machinary Indonesia. One of the companies in the field of manufacturing services for the manufacture of industrial automation machines. I have more than 6 years experience in automation design. I have tried several machines with various specifications and functions. Starting from press machines, washing machines, cutting machines, marking and others. Of the several machines that I make on average use Aluminum Extrusion as the main component in the construction of the frame on the machine that I make. Aluminum extrusion is an alternative component to replace the Iron Frame which is often used in general. In addition to good aesthetics, aluminum is also sturdy and has an undoubted level of accuracy for use on special purpose machines that require a high level of precision. However, I often see the problem, that sometimes the operator installs the aluminum extrusion only to the extent that it is visible to the naked eye, even though if you look and feel it more closely, there is an uneven surface of the aluminum extrusion. Besides not being good to look at, of course this will reduce the level of flatness on the machine to be made and lead to poor quality. Therefore, I tried to make a tool that I named "Elbow Corner Jig" in the hope of helping the operator during the aluminum extrusion assembly and then being able to reduce errors and improve the quality of the machine made. As far as I know, this tool is not yet available in sales stores and if there were, it would be quite expensive. It is possible that this tool can be made with other manufacturing processes other than additives. But considering that aluminum extrusion is easily scratched by metal objects, therefore it is very suitable to use tools made of plastic-like materials. In this case, I made a special tool for the installation of Misumi brand Aluminum Extrusion with sizes 2020, 3030, 4040. It is possible that if it develops it will be made for all existing aluminum extrusion sizes and are often used for industrial automation purposes.
