I updated the files to lower the fan another 1.5mm. Should be in an acceptable position now.
I have downloaded and tried some hotend mounts and, in my opinion, the position and size of the two original hot end mounting screws are not suitable for the E3D V6 hotend. This is my solution to that issue. It is a robust mount and uses the original nozzle fan.. Clamp screws are M4 x 25 and nuts (I used Nyloc) fit into the slots provided. The plate uses the three wheel mount points. For the top right M5 screw you must use a low head cap screw and of course all three of those screws will need to be longer..
There is an intentional 0.5mm gap between the two clamp halves when they make a complete circle, so you do not have to try to force them together when tightening.
The Z axis is where it needs to be on my printer, but I had to slot the limit switch as it came from the manufacturer. This is a good idea anyway as having some flexibility with Z home is good when you want to use a thicker plate etc.
The X axis home is about 2mm too far forward.
I do not know the ideal position for the fan so please let me know if you do.
When I receive my new nozzle fan I will add a connector holder similar to the other two. There is a retainer for the heating wires as shown in image.
