NOTE: I'm no longer using this part myself, so no further updates will be made.
UPDATED 19/08/2017: Updated it with an X-Belt-Holder, borrowed from https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1362014
This is my Adapter to mount my new hot-end on my prusa clone.
The printer is officially called a Zonestar, this clamp fits on most of, if not all, their models.
Yesterday i got a copy of Solidworks 2016 and gave it a try, this is the outcome.
since i'm new to Solidworks it's pretty simple.
The has nothing to tie the belt to, so i cut the original bracket that mounts the extruder motor to size and put that behind the clamp, as shown on the 5th picture.
Just fitted the adapter to my printer, and found out i made a horrible mistake, when i put in the hot end, it seems to be too high above the bed, so i had to raise my heated bed for about a centimeter. Be warned!
In time i will be posting a fixed version, gotta sort some stuff out. my printer is a wreck at the moment and needs attention first.
Note: It's a WIP, as you see the clamp has a hinge looking kinda thingy on its side, well you can guess what that's going to be for, haha. ( a fan, of course )
