WARNING: This is the culmination of 2 months of work. Do not expect to be able to do this in a day unless you are both tech savvy and good with machining parts. If you are not completely 100% sure of a certain step you are about to take, pm me or someone who is proficient in this subject. I am NOT liable for damage to yourself or your DaVinci.
WARNING: This is a work in progress. Attempting to mount the e3dv6 to the DaVinci requires a lot of tinkering, drilling, and dremeling. I've blown many heater cartridges and thermistors, cracked brass bushing, spilled much blood, and cauterized a lot of my skin. Head to the solidoodle forum link below for more information. If you want to help me with this project, PM me. I am currently working on designing an x-carriage that will allow me to remove the e3d from it's carriage housing so I can swap tips. The Housing above will not mount on the DaVinci Stock bushings and uses 4 LM8UU linear bearings instead. I also used this design for the idler: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:15718
Currently working with the folks at solidoodle forum to put the E3D housing on my unlocked DaVinci 1.0 (http://www.soliforum.com/topic/7614/e3d-on-da-vinci/)
UPDATE: v3 is currently live. I would consider this a final version as I have been able to successfully print in ninjaflex/nylon for 3+ hours each (I've just not come across a print that has taken me longer). I will post detailed instructions when I wake up.
