I was not very happy with the standard extruder of my CTC DIY 3D Printer, so I replaced it with a bowden extruder and an E3D V6 clone. The hotend came with a tiny (and loud) 30 mm fan, so I wanted to use the 40 mm fan of the standard extruder instead.
And I wanted to add filament cooling with the same fan.
Here' s what I came up with to mount the hotend with the 40 mm fan to the existing screw holes in the CTC DIY where the extruder was mounted.
For mounting you need six 15 mm M3 screws and six square nuts.
