Disclaimer: These are prototypes, I have not printed/tested any of these files yet but they should be very close and in most ways identical to the original versions. Modify your printer at your own risk. Also the original model's "arms" for lack of a better word are not EXACTLY the same length nor are they symmetrical. They're close, less than a degree and a millimeter for either but they are not perfect, it was enough to annoy me, but probably not enough to cause any issues with your printer. My final version for the Dragon hotend effector will not include these errors.
You will need m3 threaded inserts, up to 6.4mm long. I have included a picture of the dimensions of the inserts I had planned on using but have since purchased some that are for 4mm diameter holes instead of 5mm, that I'll at least make my dragon version compatible with, though I guess it wouldn't take me very long to update either the v6 or volcano versions if you so wish.
For some reason I was not able to attribute Versus 3D, Thingieverse is being buggy again... Thanks for Versus3D and p1ngb4ck doing most of the work. So far I have just taken p1ngb4ck's volcano effector cleaned it significantly, and also combined parts of Versus3D's original model to make p1ngb4ck'sdesign compatible with a v6. The cleaning was needed to give me a starting point for the next stage of the project, plus it looks a tad bit nicer and shrunk the file size considerably.
For now I just have two Volcano and two v6 versions, with the original threaded holes for the hotend clamp/cap and also larger holes for threaded inserts. Honestly I was on the fence of even bothering including the versions with the original threaded holes, but if for some reason you want to use them, go for it.
V1 of both models has the original threaded holes for the heatbrake clamp, V2 has holes for threaded inserts for the clamp.
There is still a lot of work to do until this project is complete. The biggest change, will be to fully integrate a fan duct into the effector that is compatible with 5015 fans. This duct will be somewhat similar to my previous ducts but bigger and better since I won't be constrained to make it fit stock effector. The duct should make the effector more structurally sound and prevent it from warping. Of course the stock leveling system will not be compatible with this, I'll just make a new housing for it and have it mount to the fan duct with screws threaded inserts, and give it 3 points of contact so it's even stiffer and more accurate, though I may release an alternate version that uses commonly available magnets.
Personally won't be using an E3D hotend or a clone, but rather a High Flow Phaetus Dragon hotend which is like a mishmash of a mosquito and a v6 but with a hotzone sized similar to a volcano. It's compatible with a v6 mount but I'll likely make further adjustments to more securely mount this particular hotend. I may even go as far as to make the nozzle protrude just a couple MM below the effector since the effector will be the fan duct, to give me a bit more z height.
