Grade 2 Listed Building. Dursley Wesleyan Methodist Chapel built in 1863 - 64 with new extension added in 2001. The original building is Classical. Built of coursed rubble limestone with ashlar dressings and a south front. The building has a Welsh slate roof. The south front is 3-bay with panelled pilastrers and round-arched arcading, the central bay being smaller. it also has enriched keystones; a dentil course below moulded parapet cornice topped by weathered coping with transverse roll mouldings. Single tall round-arched window to larger openings each with moulded hood projecting forward and supported n scrolls. Side returns to south front lobby also have single arcaded bay, similar to front but with coursed rubble infill. Parapet gable end to main church block has dressed coping on stepped bedding and a blocked central oculus. The sides of the main building are arcaded and 4-bay; each having a round-arched window in the upper part and a square-headed window in the lower part. Gabled two storey block runs across the north end of the main building; and has a single large segmental-arched multi-paned sash window to the upper floor centrally below the gable. #Chapel #Dursley #Methodist #Wesleyan
