Dreadnaught-class heavy cruiser

The Dreadnaught-class heavy cruiser, or simply the Dreadnaught, was a type of capital ship designed for planetary occupation and space combat, first used by the Galactic Republic, and later the Galactic Empire. It was considered one of the most ubiquitous ship designs in all of the galaxy, as it was an extremely popular ship also used by local governments, as well as the Rebel Alliance. The Dreadnaught was a versatile vessel, as it cound take on many fleet roles as either a downscaled frontline vessel, support vessel, escort, heavy picket, security enforcement and rarely, if ever, as a command ship for small fleets. While heavily armed and armored in its own right, it was woefully slow and poorly shielded, adding insult to injury with its ironically lackluster firepower, when compared to other ships, so it's best supported with Loronar strike cruisers or Kontos-class star frigates, along with Indictor-class star corvettes for ECM defense, preventing enemies from getting a target lock. Around three to five Dreadnaughts is considered an equivalent to a single Imperial-class Star Destroyer in firepower.
