Made a tool to make "tea cookies" ( tekakor ) as we call them here in Sweden.
More known as crumpets fore you who speak english!
Cut out the form with the round tool, and make the dots with the poiny tool just before going into the oven.
Recepie 8-10 Crumpets:
100g baking butter ( butter with a tiny ammount of salt in, might work with ordinary butter )
5dl milk
50g of baking yeast
2 tablespoons of simple syrup ( treacle or what it might be called in english, might work with any kind of syrup as it is only used as sweetener )
1 teaspoon salt
10-12dl bread flour
How-to:
Melt the butter in a sauce pan and when it is completely molten remove it from the cooking plate.
Add all the milk and see if it is 37degrees celcius ( body temperature, feels like nothing when you put your finger into it, only gets wet, not warm or cold .)
Pour it all in a big bowl.
If it is 37 degrees add the yeast and use a whisk to get it dissolved in the milk/butter mixture.
Now add all the other ingredients except the flour and give it a good whisk again.
Slowly add the flour and at the sime time stir with a electric mixer or breadmaker, I usually use about 10dl flour every time I bake these delicious breads!
When the dough is getting less sticky and tends to not stick to the side of the bowl you can cover the bowl with plasic wrapping and let it sit and ferment for about 15 minutes.
Now its time to take it out and put it on a floured surface and cut it into 2 parts.
Roll it out to about 15mm with a rolling pin and use the round cutter to make some breads.
All the small pieces that are left you can knead into a new lump of dough and use the rolling pin again and repeat the above step.
Put them on greaseproof paper on a plate and cover with a baking towel or something and let them ferment about 5-10 more minutes.
Now its time for the fun, be sure to have the oven preheated to 225 degrees celcius, use the other 3d printed part with pins and push on top of the breads and after that put in the baking tray one at a time in about 6 min each.
Let sit and cool and enjoy delicious crumpets, or as we say here in Sweden, Tekakor ;)!
