Popsicle_peon made an awesome set of holders for Dominion but I sleeved my cards so they wouldn't fit, so as my first ever 3D printing project I modified them to print big enough to hold the cards of my set, sleeved with Standard Mayday Sleeves.
Now I store all the base cards and the 4 player assembled player decks in these for super quick and easy setup and take down of under 2 minutes! Not counting the kingdom cards.
I made these to hold cards for up to 4 players and not 6 like the original, also I made the copper and estate trays the right size for when actually playing so you do need to have the 4 player hands assembled and stored in the kingdom cards trays instead of with the other coppers and estates.
For a complete set print:
15 holders for Platinum/Kingdom/Victory cards: 7mm,
2 Holders for Curse and Gold cards: 16.5mm,
2 Holders for Copper and Trash: 17mm,
1 Holder for Silver: 20mm,
1 or 2 bowls for tokens, (see below update)
1 or 2 tokens lids
and 2 card tray Lids.
(A third of my way through printing these I added a slight inward curve to the open edges to more easily grab the bottom cards, so some in the picture has a straight edge and others have a curved.)
They stack perfectly with only 1mm difference in 2 side by side stacks with all the big holders stacked with 2 7mm holders on top, and the other 13 7mm holders on the other side.
I still haven't made the lids totally snug but I increased the width by .1mm from what I printed so hopefully they'll be a bit snugger.
Have fun with Dominion!
Update: Right after publishing this I had the idea of making a connectable bowl for the tokens used with some cards, so I modified the original post's 16mm card tray to be a bowl, then I duplicated & enlarged it to connect with the ones I made. I then a week later made a second version with a special lid for holding the tokens in the tray when stacked.
The Bottom 3 files are for people who are printing the original trays for unsleeved cards.
I recommend 200microns for the first version to get a smoother bowl curve, also I suggest 10% infill, I printed with 5% infill, I think it's okay but when printing I saw the outside edge of the bowl had almost no support with such large hexagons and it frayed a little more than I like, in the future I'll print with 10% infill to provide more internal bowl support, but if you need to save those 5 grams... Then 5% is okay.
For the 2nd version of the token bowls, I made it a more vertical angle for the side of the bowl, so now 300 Microns should be fine and 5% infill should be fine too. Also the coins can come out of version 1 when stacked with the other trays even when cards are above them, so I reduced the internal structure height and made a modified top to keep the tokens in without effecting stack-ability.
Have fun fellow dominion lovers!
