This is the second version of the DIY-Camera Slide. The slider is really light(~860g) but rigid enough for the desired function. The total cost for the material is around 35$. And it should be easy to mill all the parts in 20-30min. (The assembly is a little bit tricky if you are working alone. A second person is recommended!)
I used a 3mm bit with 2 flutes. Feedrate: 1000mm/min Spindle: 25.000RPM
The exact-part list:
2 300mm linear rail MGN12 with carriages(CNC and 3D printer demand)
1 300mm 2020mm aluminum profile
2 M625mm screws
4 GT2 deflection rollers
40 M36mm screws
24 T-Nuts M3
1 GT2 Belt (1m is enough)
