In Nahuatl, its name meant “old god” (huehue: old, teótl: god). He was considered the god of fire, represented as an old hunchback who carries a brazier on his back. This god is related to the cardinal points, that is why it was very common to see that his priests used the cross as one of its attributes, which is also used to decorate the large censers, called tlemaitl (hands of fire). This tlemaitl was also the center of the house and of the indigenous temples. by Capturing Reality from 27 images in 00h:06m:11s. - Dios Viejo - Buy Royalty Free 3D model by John Toeppen (@toeppen)
